Paper Abstract:
|
Information about physical items gathered using automatic identification (Auto-ID) technologies such as RFID is
envisioned to be available anywhere, anytime using an Internet of Things. Novel applications can be built on the ability
to track and trace real-world objects. Since the required data is distributed and sensitive, companies need mechanisms to
disclose their own share of information selectively. We investigate the characteristics of Auto-ID based collaboration and
their impact on access control. We classify relevant types of data, outline requirements and propose approaches to their
fulfillment regarding two classes of essential services, namely Item Information Services and Discovery Services. |
