Paper Abstract:
|
In todays era of increasing market fragmentation and high provider diversity, consumers face an overwhelming choice of products and services to fulfill their needs at virtually any time and any place imaginable. In this highly competitive ecosystem, businesses are continuously striving for novel approaches that generate attention and, eventually, revenue. Zooming in on the value exchange relationship between the business and its customer with the surrounding ecosystem of competitors, complementors and suppliers in mind, is an approach to create value-based business models which build on technology acceptance and the paradigm of value-in-use. This paper outlines this approach and offers an outlook on how to assess business models based on a value-in-use score through simulation. |
