Paper Abstract:
|
Research on interactive Digital TV (iDTV) has mostly considered a reality already established in developed countries.
The offer of interactivity on TV is just emerging in some developing countries and is a source of many challenges for
interaction designers, as the iDTV may reach people without access to other Information and Communication
Technology. This paper discusses an experiment conducted to evaluate the user interface of a t-gov application prototype,
taking into account the affective state and emotions of the users. The prototype was conceived according to the iDTV
Brazilian scenario, aiming to shed light on the main design questions an application designer of iDTV user interface
faces, especially when considering a wide diversity of users, most of them first-time iDTV users. |
