Paper Abstract:
|
Modern information systems are inherently collaborative. As the flow of information and the degree of collaboration in a system grows, the more complex the structure of the data becomes. Nowadays, an increasing quantity of data is shared between different entities, and situations arise in which different users need to be granted access to different parts of the same document. Traditional access control mechanisms are unsuitable for the requirements of complex data structures such as XML documents. In this paper we present a software tool for controlling the access to documents content. This tool implements an access control method in order to manage documents by means of a rules set that allows easy administration of the system; which protects the accessed content by a suitable set of rights. |
