Paper Abstract:      The use of IT gains importance in the context of recruiting. Besides, the digitalization of recruiting activities becomes more and more important for the recruiting process. Additionally, employees – especially high potentials – are the key for business excellence and sometimes for survival of a company. In order to address a great number of qualified candidates effectively and thus gain new employees to ensure the companies’ competitive ability, recruiters will have to employ E-Recruiting tools supporting personnel marketing, employer branding, and personalized treatment of candidates to make them feel valued. This paper presents research results from case studies in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria in form of a reference model for E-Recruiting which can be applied by companies seeking for high potentials. The development of the reference model is based on an analysis of candidate´s and company´s requirements and a selection of E-Recruiting tools. These can be used as a basis to balance the advantages and disadvantages of each E-Recruiting tool with regard to the company’s specific situation, to customize the E-Recruiting reference model, and to set up a recruiting portfolio for a company.
