Paper Abstract:
|
Over the past decades Technology shaped the modern world we live in, consequently, it became an increasingly
discussed topic in the Global Agenda for Sustainable Development. On the turning point from the Millennium
Development Goals to the Sustainable Development Goals, new challenges and opportunities arise, where Development
Agents and Global Leaders have to determine new directions and guidelines to successfully use and deploy this tool for
sustainable development on a 2015 post-agenda context. The present multidisciplinary study was conducted on the
context of the World Summit on Information Society, where 16 experts in the fields of Development and Technology
were interviewed to further analyze their opinions on what the role of Development Agents and Global Leaders is in
leveraging technology for sustainable development. |
