Paper Abstract:
|
This paper introduces the structural and functional architecture of PaMGIS, a framework-based approach for the pattern and model based automated design of interactive systems. The paper discusses the various steps and pattern and modeling resources used by the development process. The framework exploits a broader than usual view on software patterns and provides comprehensive tool support for designing generic and context-specific pattern languages containing pattern categories for all phases and abstraction levels of the life-cycle for the usage-centered design of interactive systems. An example demonstrates one of the automated tools of PaMGIS: the component that generates interactive source code from a semi-abstract XML model. |
