Paper Abstract:      In therapy, as in other fields of the health care domain, there is an increasing use of technology to address many issues. This paper describes an existing mobile therapy framework and focuses its recently introduced multimodal extensions. SCOPE was developed in order to provide ubiquitous support to the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy process. During its utilization new interaction challenges emerged. These, suggested the introduction of new interaction modalities in order to enable this framework’s support for new types of users, new usage scenarios and other types of therapies. The introduced multimodal extensions allow therapists and patients with different characteristics to perform their activities in various surrounding environments. Furthermore, they broaden the framework’s utilization to other types of therapy. Usage examples of the mentioned framework and its extensions are provided validating their introduction and new usage domains.
