Paper Abstract:      Evolutions in communication technology and Internet have enhanced efficient distributed processing and scalable systems. Now, with the distribution processing through the Internet, it is possible to solve problems whose time of processing was recently prohibitive by centralized solution. By using a single machine, even a very powerful one, problems such as finding a high degree two-dimensional polynomial that represents landform attributes of an area are impracticable. The objective of this project is to present a methodology for processing distribution using a mathematical formulation based on nonlinear regression model that estimates the coefficients of a high degree polynomial representing landform attributes. As an example, we use the data source that represents the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil. The next step is the implementation of a system to distribute the processing using the Internet. The system is designed according to the methodology of Grid Computing.
