Paper Abstract:
|
In June 2009 the World Health Organization (WHO) declared an influenza pandemic when a new strain of the Swine flu virus H1N1 spread quickly around the world. To prevent, control and treat the swine flu is now a major concern among researchers. Among others, one of the major challenges is identifying cases of the flu. In this paper, we propose a hybrid intelligent system that combines rule-based reasoning (RBR) and case-based reasoning (CBR) techniques to help general medical practitioners identify swine flu more effectively. We simulated our proposed system using a growing case base and 20 fixed cases. |
