Paper Abstract:
|
In the project "Things, Places, People and Stories", I research genre development in digital media with regard to cultural heritage museums communication and the use of location based and handheld technologies. In the project I'm trying to combine an analytical perspective with practical development. To understand the relationship between genre and technology I base my work on approaches that try to bridge the gap between humanistic methods and practical development and a technology perspective. The practical aspect lies in developing a platform in form of a framework for genre experiments with digital communication in cultural heritage museums. That includes mobile learning, since educational purposes is the basis for much of the communication in museums (Hooper-Greenhill, 1994). |
