Paper Abstract:
|
In this paper we present a prototype system developed to enable data intensive grid applications to efficiently use and
coordinate optical network resources, to improve the performance and throughput of global-scale grid systems, such as
those used in high energy physics and many other fields of science. We developed a multi agent system for secure
lightpath provisioning based on dynamic discovery of the topology in distributed networks. In this approach, agents will
act on behalf of services, managing access to resources, and collaborate with other services to generate on demand
effective end to end optical connections. |
