Paper Abstract:
|
This study develops a decision support system (DSS) for assisting investors and business executives in deciding which e-business model to adopt for new business ventures. The developed DSS system capitalizes on the framework proposed by Hayes and Finnegan (2003). It modifies that framework to use fuzzy logic and build a new conceptual design based on concepts of Fuzzy logic expert systems. The proposed DSS system solves two important challenges. The first challenge is the use of linguistic terms to capture the business executives assessments of their current organization key business measures and use fuzzy assessment rule to find the overall assessment of each relevant business dimension. The second challenge is to have a rule-based structure that allows future research to identify and add a large number of new e-business models. The developed system is tested with a limited number of business executives and received a positive feedback. |
