Paper Abstract:
|
In this paper a maximum-likelihood frame combiner integrated into a Cooperative-ARQ (C-ARQ) protocol is proposed
and evaluated. C-ARQ is well suited for wireless transmission in either infrastructure or ad-hoc networks, as it exploits
some of the unique characteristics of wireless media, such as the natural broadcast of wireless transmission and receiver
diversity. The paper obtains an expression for the Bit Error Rate for reconstructed frames and shows that, in Rayleigh
channels, full diversity order is attained. |
