Paper Abstract:
|
The significant role that big data interfaces and Business intelligence (BI) play in senior management and their executive decision-making is well known. The topic has become an academic niche area and increasingly research is published on BI, this since the turn of the century. A limitation is research findings on the user experience (UX) of BI interfaces. Literature holds several UX frameworks, however, none pertaining to the UX in relation to BI. This article presents the first phase of a three-stage study and focuses on a revisited systematic literature review (2003-2019). The focuses are on the main elements comprising these UX frameworks and the use of appreciative inquiry to investigate the elements required for the best UX. The article presents a renewed conceptual UX framework for BI interfaces and provides an overview of the subsequent further two phases of the study. |
