Paper Abstract:      This paper introduces a 3D human-computer interaction (HCI) method using gesture and movement information of human beings, replacing traditional keyboard and mouse interaction channels. With the help of this newly designed and integrated equipment using Microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) sensors, both including hardware and software systems, human can interact with their computers simply by moving any body part where sensor node is placed. Related hardware system and software algorithm which could help to remove noise and gravity influence existed in measured sensor data and get trajectory information of movement are illustrated as well. Regarding the application of this 3D HCI, this paper describes our developed virtual world exploration interaction platform integrated with Google Earth (GE) API technology.
