IADIS International Conference Intelligent Systems And Agents 2013 (part of the MCCSIS 2013 Conference)

cgv2013b

The 7th edition of the Intelligent Systems And Agents 2013 (ISA) International Conference was hosted in Prague, Czech Republic, during 22 to 24 July, 2013 and was co-organised by The University of Economics in Prague (VŠE), Czech Republic. This conference was part of the IADIS Multi Conference on Computer Science and Information Systems 2013, 22 - 26 July.

This ISA Conference addresses in detail intelligent systems as well as agents. The conference has the intention to provide a contribution to academics and practitioners. So, both fundamental and applied research are considered relevant.

The ISA 2013 Conference had 62 submissions from more than 23 countries. Each submission has been anonymously reviewed by an average of four independent reviewers, to guarantee the final high standard of the accepted submissions. Out of the papers submitted, 10 received blind referee ratings that signified acceptability for publication as full papers (acceptance rate below 16%), while some others were published as short and doctoral papers.

The Conference Program featured an opening and closing sessions, 4 parallel paper sessions, 1 Keynote Presentation and a Poster Session.

The keynote presentation was given by Prof. Dr. Ajith Abraham, Machine Intelligence Research Labs (MIR Labs) Scientific Network for Innovation and Research Excellence WA, USA.

Extended versions of the best papers were selected to be published as extended versions in the the IADIS International Journal on Computer Science and Information Systems (ISSN: 1646-3692) and/or in the IADIS International Journal on WWW/Internet (ISSN: 1645-7641) and also in other selected journals, including journals from Inderscience. Some of the best papers will be eligible to be extended and enhanced as book chapters for inclusion in a book to be published by IGI Global.

Keynote presentation

"EVOLVING SMART INFORMATION SYSTEMS''
by Professor Dr. Ajith Abraham
Machine Intelligence Research Labs (MIR Labs) Scientific Network for Innovation and Research Excellence WA, USA

Abstract

We are blessed with the sophisticated technological artifacts that are enriching our daily lives and the society. It is believed that the future Internet is going to provide us the framework to integrate, control or operate virtually any device, appliance, monitoring systems, infrastructures etc. The challenge is to design intelligent machines and networks that could communicate and adapt according to the environment. An in-depth discussion will be made related to the different ways to improve the performance of conventional intelligent systems. Several real world problems will be used to illustrate the need for evolving data structures for knowledge representation and data analysis.

The Intelligent Systems And Agents 2013 was published in Book (ISBN: 78-972-8939-93-9).
