Paper Abstract:
|
We describe a transaction time temporal database framework with schema versioning capacities based on PostgreSQL database management system which was developed in the IT Center of the University of Lodz. This database framework is used to implement a data synchronizing database which mediates migration and integration of data between many separate computer systems in the University of Lodz. We also show how to use some unique features of PostgreSQL to extend our basic system with additional capabilities. |
