Paper Abstract:
|
Constructivists define meaningful learning as active, constructive (reflective), intentional, authentic and cooperative.
Nursing education has gone through three distinct stages in the last century in the U.S.: the apprenticeship model, the
university-based model, and a contemporary model using simulation. This paper will take a fresh look at the three
models of nursing education to explore the extent to which each model contains these elements of meaningful learning. |
