Paper Abstract:
|
We have been developing a health promotion program called the e-health community which consists of both online and
off-line activities. The approach of this program is to develop a citizen centric health community for sustainable health
promotion activities in local community. We have provided an online lifestyle record system with blogs and off-line
physical activity and cooking classes. Our research showed that over 70% of the participants experienced difficulties in
maintaining records of their daily diet, while participation in off-line classes motivates the recording activities. Social
networking is an important motivation for attendance of the off-line activities as well as the knowledge acquisition. |
